Christine is a native New Yorker with twenty years of experience in the legal industry. Before going in house, she was a partner at a boutique full service law firm in New York, where she co-founded the firm's Telecommunications and Internet Law practice.
She currently serves as General Counsel - Media for a360 Media, LLC (formerly American Media, Inc.) in New York City where she oversees a busy legal department and advises the company on defamation, privacy, intellectual property and publicity issues for a wide range of brands, including podcasts, tv specials, online publications and magazines such as National Enquirer, Globe, Us Weekly, Life & Style, Closer, In Touch, Star, First for Women, Woman's World and hundreds of special interest publications.
Christine is an experienced litigator and has assisted clients with a wide range of issues, including online harassment and defamation. She has extensive experience in the rapidly-evolving fields of Internet law, digital marketing and telemarketing law, data privacy and security law, and intellectual property law. Christine also has experience counseling clients on claims relating to false advertising and deceptive marketing. She has defended consumer class action lawsuits nationwide and represented clients before state AGs and the FTC.
Christine is skilled at negotiating and drafting complex licensing, marketing and other agreements. She assists clients in the prosecution and maintenance of their trademarks and copyrights, as well as with infringement-related claims.
Christine speaks, lectures and writes extensively on digital marketing, intellectual property and Internet-related issues. Her legal analysis has been featured on ABC7 News and ASIS International’s Security Management magazine. She serves on the Advisory Board of Reputation Communications, a nationally recognized online reputation management company serving CEOs, business leaders, rising stars, VIPs and their organizations, including the Fortune 500.
Christine is admitted to practice in New York State and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
She is a graduate of New York Law School, cum laude, where she served as Law Review Articles Editor and as a member of the Journal of Human Rights. During law school, she worked for the Honorable David G. Trager of the Eastern District of New York and investigated discrimination complaints for the New York City Commission on Human Rights.
Christine is also a graduate of Fordham University (Fordham College at Lincoln Center), during which time she interned at the United Nations and was a member of the Fordham University Emerging Leaders Program (FUEL). She was also a member of the Phi Alpha Theta National History Honor Society.
